2nd year Success!

Why bring A Step Ahead’s program back the second, third, fourth year?  An elementary school in the Snohomish School District helps us with the “list” because they DID just that...we had a very successful second visit with Machias Elementary school!

1.  It's still fun!

2.  For students who have already had a year of a unit, the second year capitalizes on the concepts learned the previous year so there is more mastering of these lessons yet is still exciting!.

3.  For the students who were moving up to the new unit, they had the foundation and were prepared for the new concepts.

 4. Program improvements have made the units easier to teach, support and learn from.

5. With the Social Dance unit, the second year students were ready and even anxious to hold hands which made them ready to learn about trust, respect and teamwork through dance!

New! NEW!! NEW!!!

We ask for evaluations at the end of every session AND then we do something about it (even though we mostly get rave reviews)!  Here are the improvements!

1.    Family Dances chock full of contests, prizes and even the new line dance choreographed especially for the school and taught to parents, students and staff!  You should see about 60-70 people packed on the floor ready to dance the “Machias Bust-a-move” or the Cascade View Country line dance!!

2.    More effective method of switching lines in the social dance unit.

3.    Great videos demonstrating the dances that are being taught!

4.    Flexible  “Dance Star” acknowledgement program!

5.    New music!
